1. The Kia EV6 is made from sustainable and eco friendly materials

The Kia EV6 incorporates sustainable design elements through its construction from the use of more than 100 recycled PET bottles for interior parts, 100% LED lighting and the exclusive use of vegan leather or suede as standard.

These sustainable materials can be found across the whole of the Kia EV6 interior, from the seats to the steering wheel, infotainment centre and more and continue to boost the green and sustainable values in Kia's new ethos.

2. The Kia EV6 is a Guinness World Record Holder

The Kia EV6 beat Tesla Model S’ record by travelling 2,880.5 miles with the shortest charging time. During a seven day trek from New York City to Los Angeles, the Kia EV6 was plugged in for only 7 hours, 10 minutes and 1 second which beat Tesla’s previous record by a whopping 5 and a half hours.

This was made possible by the EV6’s industry leading charge technology which allows the car to charge from 10% to 80% in only 18 minutes, saving time when you're on the go.

This is an incredible achievement for the new model and we are predicting this is just the start in a long line of accolades the Kia EV6 will receive in its lifetime.

3. The Kia EV6 incorporates Heat Pump technology

In the winter months, low temperatures increase the EV battery’s internal resistance which reduces its energy efficiency. Plus during the winter months, we make more use of cabin heating. All of this combined means that the range in winter could be much less and you’ll find yourself charging your car a lot more often.

Fortunately, the Kia EV6’s Heat Pump technology, scavenges waste heat from a number of sources and reuses this energy to provide much needed heat during colder periods

4. The Kia EV6 helps power your other electricals

Thanks to a three-pin plug, the Kia EV6 can also be used to power or charge other devices.

Keep your laptop charged on the commute, the vacuum cleaner when you want to clean out your car, electric bicycles and more. You can even use it to power your camping equipment, making the Kia EV6 and excellent travel companion.

5. The Kia EV6 has intelligent full beam technology

The LED lights on the Kia EV6 are not only part of the sustainability ethos, but their intelligent front-lighting system (IFS) also uses adaptive high-beam to increase visibility on the road.

The IFS enables each LED to light independently to deliver a precise lighting experience and let’s you drive with a permanent full beam without dazzling oncoming traffic. A front-view camera uses vehicle recognition technology to automatically dim or brighten each LED to enhance the driver’s vision and protect oncoming traffic all at the same time.

6. The Kia EV6 is Kia’s first all-electric car

Well, technically that isn’t wholly true, as we have the likes of the best-selling Kia e-Niro and Kia Soul EV within Kia’s electric range. However, the Kia EV6 was the first vehicle in Kia’s line up built specifically to be all-electric. There are no petrol, diesel or other fuel variants available with the Kia EV6.

This is not a case of converting an existing vehicle to run on electric. From concept to design and build, the Kia EV6 was only ever meant to be one thing; a fully-electric vehicle. This means that every ounce of research, every tweak and every component was specifically designed to provide maximum efficiency in an all-electric car, so you know that you’re getting the best in EV technology on the market.
