How to buy a car online

The online purchase process is available on all of our used cars straight through our website. All you need to do is choose the car you like and click the ‘reserve vehicle’ button. If you’re looking for a new car, simply sending us an enquiry through our website is enough for us to get that order process started for you.

You will fill out your details on our order form, where you can even add your part exchange and receive a valuation. You can choose how you want to receive your part exchange valuation as well! You can either put the value towards your new car, or take some (or all!) of it as cashback.

Once you’ve paid your reservation fee and sent the details to us, we automatically reserve that car for 3 days. That means nobody else can beat you to it; it’s yours while we sort through the finer details.

The team will contact with you to sort everything else out, whether you’re looking to take out finance, GAP insurance, secure a service plan or anything else you need. You just tell us what you want and we will do the hard work for you. You will also be offered a test drive, providing we are not in lockdown!

When everything is finalised, we will arrange a time for you to collect your vehicle.

How does a virtual appointment work?

Virtual appointments have been a necessity in the last year, and they are a world away from the traditional showroom appointment. But they can still offer so much insight into your options about the vehicle, finance options and more.

Once you’ve booked a virtual appointment with a member of our team, they’ll send you a Zoom invitation. Once you’re on the call they can help you with everything you need. From a live video tour of the car, to running through all of your finance options and anything else that you might need from us.

We have had huge success with our virtual appointments during lockdown that we will continue to make these available in the future for all customers, along with our usual face to face and telephone appointments.

Top tips for buying a car online

Even with all of this in place, buying a car online can still seem daunting. These are our top tips for buying a car online:

  1. Do your research
Make sure you have done your own research into the kind of car you want. You want to make sure it’s going to have all of your favourite features, and you can get a good idea online of the price range you should be looking at
  2. Understand your finance options
We will be more than happy to go through all of your options with you, but sometimes it can help to understand your finance options before choosing the car you want. For example, you may be able to get a higher spec vehicle by choosing a PCP agreement, as these are designed to offer a lower monthly price, but if you’re dead set on owning the vehicle at the end of your agreement without having to pay a balloon payment, then you may want to opt for a HP agreement.

  3. Understand the returns policy
There may be instances that you can return the vehicle if something is wrong when you collect it, however that’s not always possible if you decide you just don’t like it when you see it. There are lots of things that come into play when returning a vehicle you’ve purchased, so ensure you have fully understood and are comfortable with the returns policy before making your purchase. Our sales team will be happy to go through all of the ins and outs with you.

  4. Ask lots of questions
We are here to answer any questions you have whether that’s about the process or about the vehicle itself. Don’t hold back and if you’ve forgotten to ask something then always get back in touch with your sales rep to get the answer.

We want to make the online buying process as seamless as possible for you so if there’s anything else you need to know, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
