The Kia Picanto is the smallest vehicle of the Kia range, a stark contrast to the All-New Sorento. Since its UK launch back in 2004 the Picanto has frequently visited the top step of the podium in various awards ceremonies, and has sold over 150,000 units in the UK. Depending on specification, the Picanto is offered with technologies such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) and Kia’s new Automated Manual Transmission.
“Kia’s pair of Company Car Today CCT100 Awards show the strength of the brand, coming at opposite ends of the spectrum with the Picanto showing its quality in the City Car category, and the All-New Sorento proving that large SUVs can make sense for company car operators thanks to its hybrid technology,” said Paul Barker, Editor of Company Car Today. “Both cars exhibited great running costs, combined with practicality, good looks and efficiency.”
Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia Motors (UK) Limited said: “To see Kia top two categories at opposite ends of the automotive spectrum fills me with pride, and is an absolutely fantastic way to start the New Year. Undoubtedly both the Large SUV and City Car categories were highly competitive, which makes the double win even more impressive.
“Since the fourth-generation Sorento was launched back in September 2020, it has received a very positive reaction and has helped set in motion Kia’s future trajectory, whilst also securing a position at the very front of the Large SUV market. The Picanto as well, has consistently been a popular choice with customers thanks to its refined interior and driving feel in such a small package, and has truly earned its place as a renowned City Car.”
Both the Sportage and e-Niro feature in the CCT100 list as well, proving further Kia's quality line-up of vehicles for all types of customers.
