Paul Philpott, President and CEO at Kia UK Limited commented: “We’re delighted to accept this award, which fully reflects Kia’s rapid transition to becoming a leader in electrification. We have put the environment at the very heart of our business: we have committed to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045; our European model range will be fully electric in Europe by 2035 – supported by 14 global EV models launched by 2027. And we’ve partnered with companies that are helping to protect the planet, such as ‘The Ocean Cleanup’ and closer to home, Kia UK recently announced its three-year partnership with the Surrey Wildlife Trust. Today, one in three Kia vehicles sold is electrified, well-ahead of the curve, with an ever-greater share going towards our fully electric, zero-emission, model range. Thank you to our dealer partners for joining us along this journey and thank you to the NFDA for this award and acknowledgment.”
At the Ball, a total of £4,380 was raised for the British Red Cross Ukraine appeal. Additionally, NFDA will make a donation to the automotive industry charity BEN.
Sue Robinson, NFDA Chief Executive, said: “It was exciting to be back hosting our annual NFDA Spring Ball and celebrate automotive excellence. A huge thank you to our sponsors and all those who attended and donated generously to the British Red Cross. Finally, congratulations to all the award winners on their achievements, your support to our industry and the NFDA is truly remarkable”.
