What advanced safety features does a KIA ProCeed come with?
The KIA ProCeed is packed full of advanced safety, and technology in general. From Lane Following Assist, Rear Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning - to name only a few. A lot of these features also come as standard.
So, let's dive deep into what these actually do, and what they mean for you; aside from just a feature name.
Lane Following Assist (LFA)
The KIA Lane Following Assist, is an optional feature that you can turn on via the instrument panel that combines both Lane Keep Assist and Smart Cruise control functionality together to keep you safely in your lane. This will then help to prevent any lane drift that may accidently occur.
This built in car safety system works as the car can detect the lane markings near you, then if you are going to close to them, it can provide a visual notification as well as an audible notification, and then provide corrective steering measures to help get you back on track. If no lane markings are detected, then it can use the vehicle in front of you as a reference point.

Rear Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA)
Rear Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA) works by giving you a visual notification of approaching cars that are in your blind spot. You can then visually see a car is there helping to prevent you from missing them when you check the lane you want to go into is clear.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA)
When it comes to the Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA), this system is especially useful in areas where you are reversing with restricted fields of vision. Such as car parking spaces, or off a drive where the entry to the road is blocked by hedges, gates, or neighbours cars.
This system works because when you are reversing at less than 6MPH it keeps a look out for objects in your rear that could cause an accident or collision to occur. When it detects this it gives you a notification to let you know to stop, and if needed it can also apply the brakes automatically for you.

Safe Exit Warning (SEW) Assist (SEA)
With Safe Exit Warning (SEW) Assist (SEA), your KIA will keep a look out for obstacles approaching near your parked car. If it detects one is, it will prevent the passenger from opening the doors if a collision is going to occur. Consequently, saving you from an accident occurring.

Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go Functionality
With Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go Functionality, your car will keep a set distance from the car ahead of you with it automatically adjusting your speed to match the traffic conditions ahead. It can even bring your KIA to a complete stop if required. As a result, if traffic starts to slow down ahead of you, your KIA will slow down automatically as well. If traffic starts to pick up again, your KIA will then automatically increase its speed to your desired set cruise control level.
